InterNACH's "We'll Buy Your Home Back" Guarantee

 

If your participating inspector misses anything, we'll buy your home back.

And now for the “fine print”:

  • It's valid for home inspections performed for home buyers only by participating InterNACHI® members.
  • The home must be listed for sale with a licensed real estate agent.
  • The Guarantee excludes homes with material defects not present at the time of the inspection, or not required to be inspected, per InterNACHI's Residential Standards of Practice.
  • The Guarantee will be honored for 90 days after closing.
  • We'll pay you whatever price you paid for the home.

Privacy Policy:  We don't collect identifiable consumer data; therefore, we can't sell or release it.  No data is sold or released to any third party.

Forum Selection:  The exclusive venue for any litigation arising out of InterNACHI’s Buy-Back Guarantee Program shall be in Boulder, Colorado.  Any person who brings an action against InterNACHI® waives a trial by jury and agrees to pay InterNACHI’s attorney’s fees, expenses, and costs if InterNACHI® prevails.

The Porch Guarantee

We want to build a community of empowered homeowners who are confident in caring for and improving their homes. Porch offers information and resources to help you ask the important questions before you hire a pro for your next project.

If something goes wrong after a job has started, we want to be there for you too. If you experience damage to personal property as a direct result of the pro’s work or if you pay a deposit and no work is completed, we will assist you in the process of resolving the issue with the professional and recouping your loss. In addition, Porch will provide up to $1000 to help offset any loss. For example, we can assist with the cost of meeting your homeowner’s insurance deductible, replacing or repairing damaged items, or paying attorneys’ fees if you decide to pursue the pro in court.

All projects submitted on Porch.com or through a qualifying Porch partner are eligible for coverage under the Porch Guarantee with the following conditions:

  1. You submit a project request for services using Porch.com or a qualifying Porch partner, using a Porch homeowner account.
  2. You mark the pro as “hired” on your project page.
  3. You make a good faith effort to resolve the dispute with pro directly before submitting your claim.
  4. You make a claim and provide us with documentation supporting your claim within 15 days of service completion (or, if no work was completed, within 15 days of your last attempt to resolve the issue with the professional). This must include:
    • If no work was completed: proof of payment to the professional
    • If your property was damaged: documentation showing the value of the damaged property, with photos of the damaged property
    • In either case: documentation of your attempts to resolve the issue with the professional

  1. The Guarantee does not cover:
    • Issues related to quality of work
    • Loss of materials or tools and any additional property owned by the professional or homeowner that are used on the job
    • Project delays
    • Payment disputes
    • Additional projects not submitted within your original Porch project request or changes in the scope of the project, as described in the estimate the professional provided in response to your original Porch project request

  1. You follow our claim resolution policies, work with us in good faith, and permit the professional to attempt to resolve the problem prior to contacting Porch and, as reasonably requested by Porch, after you submit your claim.
  2. The Guarantee is subject to modification by us and the Guarantee policy in effect on the date you submitted our project request will apply to any claim you make related to the services at issue.

Porch reserves the right to request a W-9 from you prior to the finalization of a Guarantee Claim. To submit a claim, please contact one of our Guarantee Claim Specialists at guarantee@porch.com. You’ll receive a response within 24 business hours.
